What can librarians help me with?

Answer

Your library liaison is your partner in information. We encourage you to contact your liaison if you need assistance on using certain databases, library services, recommending a book or journal for purchase, or discussing any other way the library may assist you in your teaching, learning, or research.

Here's what liaison librarians do:

  • provide orientation sessions to the library’s electronic databases and other resources

  • assist individuals with locating, using, and evaluating information sources

  • share current information regarding library programs, resources and services

  • assist with curating collections of high quality information

  • collaborate in educational activities that promote information literacy

  • support teaching, clinical, and research needs
